Al Shaqab pipped Metabo by two wickets to win the Seventh Bin Ghalib Floodlit (Second Division) cricket tournament in Doha. Metabo made 69 all out in 11.2 overs, with Shaji top-scoring with 21 runs. Kundan, Amjad and Parvez claimed two wickets apiece for Al Shaqab. In reply, Al Shaqab lost seven wickets in the first six overs but Atique (16), Momi (18) and Pervez (12) played sensibly to see them through. Parvez was declared man of the match for his all-round show Shaji of Metabo and Parvez were declared the best batsman and bowler of the tournament respectively, while Latif of Metabo won the best all-rounder award. Naveed of IBQ was adjudged the best wicket-keeper. Saquib Raza Khan and Shakil Moidin of Bin Ghalib Engineering were the chief guests and gave away the prizes.
