Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba)’s support for championing the popularity of equestrian events in Bahrain received a further boost as more than 58 of the finest Bahrain bred and imported horses compete for the coveted Alba Trophy taking place on Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Rashid Equestrians & Horseracing Club, Sakhir. The battle for the Alba Trophy will be the tenth racing event this season, and will feature three separate races covering 1,200 meters, 1,400 meters and 1,800 meters each. The Chairman of Alba’s Board of Directors, Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji will be presenting the Alba Trophy to the winners. Commenting on the horserace tomorrow (Friday 4 January) on the Alba Trophy, the Chairman of Alba’s Board of Directors, Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji said: “Our on-going support for the Alba Trophy presents a clear demonstration of our resolve to be on the vanguard of promoting Bahrain’s rich equestrian and sporting heritage. We are proud of giving it our full support since it represents one of the finest symbols of Bahrain’s cultural traditions that continue to remain popular even today.” Alba has been a supporter of equestrian events over the past forty years since the company was established.
