UAE Pro League club Bani Yas snatched a draw in the AFC Champions League against Uzbekistan club Pakhtakor Tashkent. Pakhtakor has drawn first blood when midfielder Dilshod Sharofetdinov scored in the 29th minute. However forward Mohammed Fawi equalized for the Emirati club in the second half and secured a point. This is the same stadium where the UAE secured qualification for the 2012 London Olympics six days ago when they beat Uzbekistan 3-2. The result puts them on top of the group with four points for at least a few hours as former Group B leaders Al Ittihad, who have 3 points, prepare to face off Qatari side Al Arabi in a later game.
