The Fifth Beach Handball World Championship began on Saturday at Musannah Sports City in Oman. The championship brings together 24 teams from all continents, including 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams. The event will be concluded on 13 July. The 12 teams participating in men’s tournament were divided into two groups where Qatar compete in Group (B) alongside Croatia, Egypt, Spain, Uruguay, and Kuwait while Group (A) includes Oman, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine, Bahrain, and Australia. The Qatari players will begin their campaign in the championship with two matches against Uruguay and Croatia on Sunday. The Qatari squad includes Muhsen Al-Yafei, Hamadi Mesawi, Ayman Kharbash, Ismail Mohammad, Muatasem Abdulwahed, Hassan Awad, Mahmaoud Al-Saeed, Abdulrazaq Ahmad, Samer Hashim and Marco.
