Kuwait Handball Association has appointed Croatian coach Tonci Druskovic to lead the national handball team through the Asian Olympics, to be held in Incheon city in South Korea in September.
Secretary of the Association Bader Al-Theyab told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday that he is confident the team will achieve positive results in the big Asian event under the lead of Druskovic, who will start the job today, where he will train the team in Fahad Al-Ahmad stadium in Daiya.
The appointed coach has a history of prominent achievements with his previous teams, said Al-Theyab, calling on all players to cooperate with Druskovic and follow his instructions to develop their skills.
The Association held a meeting with the team's technical staff yesterday to set and discuss a time table and preparations for the team, while also specifying the needs of the players and the technical and administrative staff, ahead of their trip to Germany to train for the upcoming event in South Korea.
