The Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate's dedicated Authority for culture, arts, and heritage, promoted Emirati heritage at the FIBA World U17 Basketball Championship with traditional activities that aimed at educating international visitors on the nation's rich history.
The 2014 FIBA World Under-17 Basketball Championship is an international basketball competition, where 16 national teams competed in the tournament. The preliminary round was held at Al Ahli and Al Wasl clubs , while the final round was held at the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai.
The third edition also marked the first time the FIBA World U17 Basketball Championship was held outside Europe.
Dubai Culture is committed to enhancing awareness of culture and arts by fostering robust dialogue with the public to generate interest in the cultural sector, and contribute to promoting global dialogue on culture and arts.
