Egypt 's Olympic team have tied 1-1 with Turkey on Friday in a Toulon friendly tournament staged to prepare for the 2012 for the London Games. A 4th minute goal from the Turkish attacker Emre Güral gave Egypt's foes an early lead, and they came close to dominating the young Pharaohs throughout the game. Egypt tactician Hani Ramzy replaced Haras El-Hodoud midfielder Ahmed Eid Abdel-Malik with Zamalek attacker Mohamed Ibrahim who found his efforts to hit the Turkish net denied by vigilant defence. Zamalek star Omar Gabber smashed a long-range equaliser to salvage a 1-1 draw for Egypt in the 69th minute. Following the tie, Egypt are at the tail of the tournament's Group A, holding just one point following their 3-0 loss to the Netherlands in their first game. Turkey is in first place, four points ahead of the Netherlands and Japan who both have three points. The Young Pharaohs are set to face Japan on Sunday in their third game of the tournament.
