President of the General Organisation for Youth and Sport (GOYS) Hisham Mohammed Al Jowder paid tribute to Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his major achievement in Budapest Ironman Championship.
He said Shaikh Nasser’s clinching of the eighth place in the overall standings and breaking his previous record with a large margin stands witness of his zeal for excellence and attaining goals.
He also commended the outstanding performance of SCYS First Deputy Chairman and President of Bahrain Athletics Association Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, pointing out that his ability to break his previous record testifies to his strong resolve to mount the podium of coronation.
He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, for their unflinching support to the sport movement in Bahrain.
