The ICD football team from Jeddah landed in Slovenia on Thursday for the Champions Bank 2017 football tournament.
The delegation from Saudi Arabia representing the Islamic Corporation for the Development of Private Sector, a member of the Islamic Development Bank Group, is headed by team manager Hussin Bahij.
The tournament, reputedly the biggest international corporate football tournament, will run Sept. 22 to 24 at Koper Sport Arena. Besides the banks teams from insurances and financial institutions are entered in the three-day event that will have new technical features including the use of video assistant referee in the finals.
Armundia Group will sponsor the Special Fair Play Award.
The tournament also enjoys the support of Gatorade, South Eastern Europe, Europ Assistance and All Funds Bank, among others
