Ittihad Kalba were crowned champions of the Fujairah region at the end of the knockout stages of the first UAE Beach Soccer League last week. Ittihad Kalba drubbed Masafi 10-1 to cement their place as the best team among the six teams that participated in the inaugural season of the league, which started last month. Al Oroobah ended in second place following an 8-3 thrashing of Dibba Al Hosn, while Fujairah took third spot with a 13-1 mauling of Al Khaleej. Main competition All three teams had already qualified for the main competition to be held at Al Mamzar Beach in Dubai next month, with Ittihad Kalba proving their dominance with a 100 per cent record.
