The Jeddah Warriors defeated the Blazers 85-82 to advance to the semifinals in the Inter-Commercial category in the Titan Watch-JBL Invitational Basketball Tournament at the Nazeeh and Wartah Park court in Khalidia district here.
The Jeddah Warriors went to the open man in offense as Solar scored 20 points. He was adjudged as Titan Watch best player of the game while Osama Brown had 19 points for the Blazers.
This tournament is principally sponsored by Titan Watch of Al Hussaini & Al Yahya Investment Group (Othman Al-Husssaini). The co-sponsor is Giordano Fashions (Ahmadullah).
BHBC of Noel “Popoy” Lampa beat the Eagles 121-102 in the 40 & above category. BHBC’s offense was unstoppable in the final quarter. Linsangan top-scored with 44 points for BHBC and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game while Ruben Del Rosario chipped in 22 points for the Eagles.
The Mosquito Red of Coach Ruben Del Rosario defeated Gray 50-42 in the Mosquito Division. Red banked on its outside shooting in the final quarter to get the win. Hamza Suyat had 25 points for Red and was named JBL best player of the game while Rakan Dimaro scored 22 points for Gray.
Blue beat Black 48-45. Blue hit clutch baskets in the crucial minutes of the game. Isaac Escueta led Blue with 21 points to become the JBL best player of the game while Divinagracia scored 21 points for Black.
Meanwhile, Gray defeated Blue 83-70 in the Juniors Midget Mix division. Jehad Usman chipped in 32 points for Gray and grabbed Titan Watch best player of the game honors while Prince Del Rosario top-scored with 41 points for Blue.
Black beat Pink 91-76 and White defeated Green 80-79 in the other matches.
