As many as 380 fighters representing 16 clubs across the U.A.E. will gather next Friday for the third Judo Championship in Abu Dhabi, jointly organised by the U.A.E. Wrestling, Judo, and Kick Boxing Federation and the International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC). Mohamed bin Tha'loob Al Derai, President of the Federation, said the third edition was named the IPIC Judo Championship in implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two sides to promote the martial art nationwide. He said, after a long meeting with the game supervising committee, that the third edition represents a fresh start for the game which was incorporated in the School Olympic Programme. Source: WAM
