Kuwaiti runner Jassim Al-Mas qualified for the finals of the 400 meter hurdles in Incheon's 17th ASIAD, having placed fourth in the third preliminary race, posting a time of 50.50 seconds.
His third preliminary race pitted him against five runners from China, Philippines, Japan, South Korea, and Uzbekistan where he did well enough to launch him to the finals tomorrow.
His colleague Yousif Karam in the same event failed to make it to the finals, having posted a time of 52.15 seconds.
Disc thrower Eissa Al-Zanquwi also failed to qualify for the medal rounds having posted a best throw of 56.57 meters, and ranking ninth among fourteen participants.
Another Kuwaiti athlete, long jumper Saleh Al-Haddad, failed to qualify for medal rounds having posted his best long jump at 7.30 meters, putting him in the 13th rank while his compatriot Mubarak Qamber placed 17th having posted a best jump of 6.59 meters.
