The Moroccan Football Federation has denied reports Nader Lamyaghri intends to permanently quit the country’s national squad, after he was excluded from the first round of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. According to well-informed sources, renowned goalkeeper Lamyaghri only decided not to participate in the 2015 African tournament finals, which will be hosted by Morocco, adding that he is looking forward to the 2014 World Cup, starting next March with an opening game between Morocco and Tanzania. Lamyaghri started in the Racing Athletic Club Casablanca, but later starred at El Wydad Athletic Club. He has two championship titles and African Confederation Cup silver to his name.
