Libyan international Eamon Zayed struck a well-measured hat-trick, while Gulam Raza Rezaei, Ali Karimi and Amir Hussain Feshangchi got one each as Pirouzi Athletic ran riot with a 6-1 drubbing of visiting Al Shabab Club to climb to the top of Group D in the AFC Champions League in Tehran yesterday. Zayed, who was born in Dublin, Ireland, and began his career with Leicester City, opened the account in the eighth minute and then added two more in the 47th and 53rd minutes to literally take the match away from the Dubai side. Al Shabab\'s Brazilian striker Jociel Ferreira da Silva [Ciel] did offer a brief relief when he pulled one back from the spot in the 56th minute, only to see Rezaei place one past Esmail Rabea in the 59th minute and former Al Ahli star and Pirouzi skipper Ali Karimi make it 5-1 from the penalty spot two minutes after the hour. Feshanghi put one past Rabea three minutes from the full-time whistle to complete the annihilation. The result sent the Iranians to the top of Group D with four points and a better goal difference with Al Gharafa hosting Saudi Arabia\'s Al Hilal in the other match later yesterday.
