The competitions of Sheikh Jassim Football Cup for the sports season 2013-2014 will be kicked off on Saturday with a match between Al-Rayyan and Al-Arabi at Qatar Sports Club. The Sheikh Jassim Cup will bring together 18 local clubs who also take part in the Qatar Stars League (QSL) and the Second Division. The 18 sides have been divided into four groups with the top four competing in the semi-finals. The tournament will initially follow a round-robin format and then a knock-out theme from the quarter-finals stage.
