Even though he was scoreless in the first and final quarter, Joseph Bautista finished with 17 points to become the Best Player as he helped Sleep High soar past Al Majdouie 74-69 in the 2012 Perfetto Basketball Tournament organized by Industrial Sports Association (ISA) at the Industrial City Dawa Office (ICDO) court in Industrial City Phase I on the outskirts of Jeddah. Bautista was the only player to score in double digit Sleep High with Monteza on 9 points and Jimenez on 8. Monteza created scoring opportunities with his passing skills to the open man and Jimenez was a pillar of strengh in rebounds. Cani scored 25 points and Bacangoy had 13 for Almajdouie. Bison brought down Finetool 53-41 in a low-scoring game. Bison’s Dela Pena only scored 13 points but because of his intensity on the court he was chosen the Best Player of the game, and really helped a lot in rebounding and in defense. They were behind in the first two quarters but Dela Pena sparked Bison in the second half. Villaflores, Barrios and Astillero combined for 22 points and played well in defense to stop multiple positions of the Finetool boys, allowing Bison to grab the lead for good after the third quarter action. Sweet-shooting Ernesto Nemenzo scored 18 points in a towering performance worthy of a Best Player plum in Luna 1’s 77-57 rout of Almira. Nemenzo drew support from Bary Nader who added 11 points along with his defensive skills. Tandoc added 9 points, while Cainila and Daham combined for 16 for Luna 1. Lozano and Faustino had a combined 22 points for Almira. Al Tayar 2 won against Sesab 78-74 and Mohamad was the chosen best player with 20 points. Alqhani defeated SPS 75-62 and the best player was Ocampo who scored 20 points. Combibo also won the game against PSF 83- 73 and the best player was Bernardo with 20 points.
