Max Williams of England confidently won the title of the 28th edition of the Qatar Open Amateur Golf Championship 2014 organised by the Qatar Golf Association (QGA) at the Doha Golf Club (DGC) on Saturday. Qatar Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Ghanim bin Shaheen Al Ghanim and Mr. Hassan bin Nasser Al-Nuaimi, President of the Qatar Golf Association crowned the top winners. The three-day tournament featured the participation of 120 golfers where Garrick Porteous of England finished second and Thomas Strandemo of USA settled in the third place The Qatar’s golfers, Saleh Ali Al-Kaabi and Ali Al Beishi made impressive performance to qualify Qatar Golf Masters to be held later this month.
