Egypt’s Zamalek have officially signed Benin striker Razak Omotoyossi on a three-year contract, the Whites assistant coach, Ismail Youssef, announced on Wednesday. It took the Cairo giants some time to reach an agreement with their Swedish counterpart Syrianska FC over the $200,000 deal for the player's services. The 25-year-old striker is expected to join the Whites’ training sessions next week after returning today to Sweden for his international clearance. Despite having plenty of options up front, including Amr Zaki, Mido, Ahmed Gaafar and newcomer Hussein Hamdy, Zamalek’s new head coach was determined to sign Omotoyossi. The nomadic striker, who was born in Nigeria, has played for a number of clubs since beginning his career in 2004, including Swedish side Helsingborgs, French outfit Metz and Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia. Omotoyossi, who took part in both the 2008 and 2010 African Cup of Nations, is also a key member of Benin’s squad. He has 18 goals at international level.
