BRAVE Combat Federation continues its international expansion with the sixth Championship scheduled to be held in Kazakhstan on April 29th, only one week after BRAVE 5 in India, which is the fourth show outside of the Kingdom of Bahrain following the launch of the Championship last year at Khalifa Sports City.
The championship is the result of the partnership between BRAVE Combat Federation and Qazak FC Organisation, to develop and enhance the sport of MMA in the region. This edition includes many surprises, strong and excitement-filled moments as the main event will have Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts Organisation (KHK MMA) fighter, Eldar Eldarov facing the Brazilian Henrique "Rasputin" Gome.
The co-main event of the evening will feature one of the biggest stars from Central Asia, China's Habiti Tuerxunbieke, who will face Fariz Ibadly, also in a lightweight showdown.
Originally from Dagestan, Russia but living in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the last years, Eldar Eldarov is one of the head coaches from KHK MMA, and has a professional record of eight wins and only one loss -- to his fellow countryman and current number one lightweight in the world Khabib Nurmagomedov. The fun fact is that, despite their previous encounter, Eldar has Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, Nurmagomedov's father, as one of his main coaches.
Eldar's opponent, Henrique Rasputin, is unarguably the most popular Brazilian fighter coming from S?o Paulo, Brazil's largest city and the biggest metropolis of the Southern Hemisphere. With a huge local fan base, Rasputin, whose nickname ironically comes from a very famous Russian psychic, is now taking his first international step while joining Brave Combat Federation.
With a professional record of 12 wins and four losses, Henrique is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist with 10 of his wins coming by the way of submission. Rasputin is currently on a three-win streak, including a second-round submission, via armbar, over Eduardo Pedrosa in his hometown.
The other two bouts promoted by Brave in Kazakhstan will have opposite profiles. One, between Erik Carlsson and Gadzhimusa Gaziev, puts face to face two veterans, while the other, Will Fleury vs Ikram Aliskerov, will mark the debut of both fighters under the Bahrain-based promotion's banner.
