England captain Alastair Cook won the toss and elected to bat in the second one-day international against Pakistan. Pakistan swept the preceding three-test series against Pakistan. England retained the same team while Pakistan made three changes for the match at Zayed Cricket Stadium. Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has been replaced by Abdul Rehman, Aizaz Cheema is preferred in place of fellow paceman Wahab Riaz, batsman Azhar Ali replaces Asad Shafiq. England leads 1-0 in the four-match series after winning the first ODI by 130 runs on Monday at the same venue. Pakistan swept the preceding three-test series against Pakistan.
