Jussi Jokinen snapped a tie with 8:05 left in the third period Friday, sending the Carolina Hurricanes to a 3-2 win over San Jose. The Hurricanes have won back-to-back games and will try for their first three-game winning streak since October when they visit the New York Islanders Saturday. Justin Peters, who made his first start since Jan. 7, stopped 35 shots to get the victory. He allowed two goals in a span of 2:26 early in the third period that wiped out a 2-0 Carolina lead. The Hurricanes built their early advantage on first-period goals by Jeff Skinner and Justin Faulk. Dan Boyle and Brent Burns scored for the Sharks in the third before Jokinen tallied on a tip-in. San Jose fell to 1-2-1 on a nine-game road trip. Thomas Greiss allowed the three goals on 25 shots.
