Tunisia qualified for the final phase of the 2012 African Nations Football Cup after beating Togo 2-0 on Saturday at the Rades Olympic stadium near Tunis. The Carthage Eagles took the lead with goals by Walid Hichri in the 19th minute and Sabeur Khlifa in the 79th minute. If match itself was no cliffhanger with Togo eliminated in any case, the other Group K match between Malawi and Chad was avidly followed by Tunisian football fans with Tunisia\'s fate depending on Chad winning or drawing the game. The unexpected miracle took place in a 2-2 draw between both teams, qualifying the Carthage Eagles, who finish second in Group K with 14 points after Botswana with 17 points.
