Spain's defending two-time world champion Marc Marquez will start from pole position in Sunday's French MotoGP after posting the fastest qualifying time at Le Mans on Saturday.
The 22-year-old Honda rider -- who is fourth in the title race after four rounds, 26 points behind leader Valentino Rossi -- recorded his 53rd career pole, 25th in the MotoGP class and third of the current campaign.
Italian Andrea Dovizioso will start second on the grid on a Ducati with two-time world champion Jorge Lorenzo, winner in Spain last time out, in third spot on a Yamaha.
