Vegalta Sendai maintained their two-point lead at the top of the J.League despite being held to a goalless draw at third-placed Urawa Red Diamonds. Second-placed Sanfrecce Hiroshima missed the chance to close the gap as they also drew 0-0 at home to struggling Omiya Ardija. The consolation for Hiroshima is that Urawa's draw keeps them three points behind in third in the table. At the other end of the standings, Gamba Osaka secured only their third win of the season with a 4-0 victory away to bottom side Consadole Sapporo. Osaka, third from bottom, scored through Paulinho, Shu Kurata, Yasuhito Endo and Takuya Takei. Aria Jasuru Hasegawa and Lucas got the goals for FC Tokyo in a 2-0 defeat of Cerezo Osaka. Nagoya Grampus Eight were 2-0 winners over Jubilo Iwata with goals from Jungo Fujimoto and Kensuke Nagai. Keijiro Ogawa scored the only goal as Vissel Kobe beat Albirex Niigata 1-0 and there were 1-1 draws between Kashiwa Reysol and Kashima Antlers, and Shimizu S-Pulse and Sagan Tosu. Mitsuo Ogasawara gave Kashima the lead but a late equaliser was scored by Naoya Kondo for Kashiwa. Genki Omae fired Shimizu in front but Kei Ikeda's goal ensured a point for the visitors. The game between Kawasaki Frontale and Yokohama F. Marinos ended goalless. FIFA .
