Juventus midfielder Sebastian Giovinco is facing a lengthy injury lay-off after tearing an ankle ligament on Saturday. The diminutive schemer was forced off the pitch towards the end of the reigning Serie A champions' 2-0 victory over Parma. A statement on juventus.com read: "Sebastian Giovinco has undergone a scan on his left ankle this morning, having injured himself on Saturday night against Parma. "The results confirmed that he has suffered a first-degree tear to his anterior ligament." The 25-year-old will play no part for interim Juve coach Massimo Carrera for at least two weeks, with his participation in the Italy national team's FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Malta also ruled out.
