Kawhi Leonard tallied 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 109-103 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, who moved one step closer to infamy.
Philadelphia can tie the 2009-10 New Jersey Nets (0-18) for the worst start to a National Basketball Association season when they travel to Minnesota to play the Timberwolves on Wednesday.
Their 17th consecutive loss came against a short-handed Spurs team that was without their two top guns, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, who sat to get some extra rest. Tiago Splitter also didn't play due to a calf problem.
The Sixers endured a NBA-record 26-game losing streak last year en route to a 19-63 season.
Aron Baynes delivered 15 points and nine boards, Manu Ginobili netted 14 points and Cory Joseph added 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Spurs, who have won eight in a row and 11 of their last 12.
Michael Carter-Williams finished with 24 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists to lead Philadelphia, which set its franchise record for most losses to start a season on Saturday.
