Russian Olympic team captain Pavel Datsyuk will miss his fifth straight National Hockey League game on Thursday with an undisclosed injury, the Detroit Red Wings announced on Thursday. The Red Wings leading scorer was officially placed on the injured list by the team, referring only to a "lower body" injury. The Red Wings faced the New York Rangers on Thursday. The two-time Stanley Cup winner was on Wednesday named captain of the Russia team which will compete in the Sochi Games ice hockey tournament beginning on February 12. Russia's first game is February 13 against Slovenia. The four-time all-star missed seven games earlier this season with a concussion. The 35-year-old Datsyuk leads Detroit with 15 goals this season and ranks second on the team with 32 points. This will be the fourth Olympics for Datsyuk, who participated in 2010, 2006 and 2002, where he won a bronze medal with Russia. He also won a gold medal at the 2012 World Championships in Helsinki, Finland. Datsyuk has 14 points in 18 career Olympics games.
