Women's tennis world number one Serena Williams was dumped Wednesday out of the Olympics, losing 6-4 and 6-3 to Ukraine's Elina Svitolina. It was the second big shock in Olympic tennis, after men's world no. 1 Novak Djokovic lost to Juan Del Potro. Williams said after the game she was disappointed to lose, but felt she was second best through out the match. Third seed Garbine Muguruza of Spain, who beat Williams for the French Open title two months ago, also bowed out of the Olympics losing in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1 against Monica Puig of Puerto Rico. In the men's side, with the exception of Djokovic it was business as usual as both gold medalists Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal progressed.
