Former Chairperson of Community of Peace Abu Jara Al Sultani revealed that his movement will hold a conference in cooperation with Community of Peace, political arm of Muslim Brotherhood, to declare a new political coalition in the country. He said that the coalition is not new idea, while they decided to form the new coalition since before the latest parliamentary elections held on May 4.
He added that conference’s agenda has not been decided, saying that it is expected for the coalition to ratify regulations ruling the coalition and to elect its leadership. He denied what was published over his party’s intention not to run for the coalition’s leadership during the elections scheduled to be held in 2018.
He added that the coalition aims to achieve more cooperation and coordination between the two movements during the coming period, saying that the political arena in Algeria witnessed a large number of setbacks due to the division dominating the opposition parties.
On the collapse of the value of the local currency against foreign currencies, and the possibility of impact on the prices of consumer goods, he said that the reasons for this crisis the decay, the reasons for this are the weakness of production, and Algeria's exports are fuels, adding that the government is required to build a strong and clear economic policy and encourage productive institutions.
"In order to do so, it must open a serious and responsible dialogue with economic partners, blaming the government for the collapse of the value of the dinar against other foreign currencies," he added.
He praised the decision of the government to determine the import licenses of some products, pointing out that it is a temporary measure aimed at regulating foreign trade and is part of the new strategy adopted by the government of Abdel Malik Sallal to push the Algerian economy.
