Member of Fatah Central Committee Azzam al Ahmed underlined that Egypt has nothing to do with the continued closure of the Rafah border crossing located between Gaza Strip and the Egyptian territories.
He said that Hamas is responsible for closing the terminal and the ongoing suffering of the Gazans.
Al Ahmed told MENA corespondent here on Sunday that Rafah is the responsibility of the government and not the factions or the movements.
He further underscored that closing the terminal is caused by the division which is created by Hamas, adding that the Gazans know that.
Reopening the terminal entails agreement between a legitimate Palestinian cabinet and the Egyptian government, al Ahmed reiterated.
Egypt underlined that the crossing should be operated normally in coordination with the government, he noted.
There is a division between Hamas and Fatah as well as the Palestinian factions, Ahmed stressed, adding that Hamas is determined to hinder the national reconciliation cabinet.
