Director of Information Systems in the General Directorate of Traffic in the Egyptian Ministry of Interior Ayman Al Daba said that new traffic law, which is to be officially approved, includes provisions giving the driver 50 points during the one-year license period, in which points are drawn in accordance with the offenses committed by the driver.
He added that E-points in the new traffic law is one of the ways to achieve deterrence to reduce traffic violationsas much as possible, and the points system is expected to push the driver to be careful to keep the electronic points, and promised to drain violations, so as not to lose the Sears license.
He clarified that the electronic points system in the new law includes 5 segments to deduct the points, to be deducted in the first slide one point, while in the fifth tranche 5 points once, stressing that the deduction of electronic points does not prevent the imposition of punishment on the driver of the vehicle.
He continued, “The electronic points system, which is one of the main axes of the new traffic law, is electronically charged every year according to specific mechanisms. In order to implement this system, the officers and employees are given access to about 2000 monitoring devices connected to a complete database at the level of the Republic.”
He added that Schools have been established to teach the leadership and give training courses to citizens wishing to extract driving and driving licenses, provided that the citizen is given a training course before obtaining the license and upon renewal.
He stressed the need for Issuing medical certificates for the health of the citizen wishing to obtain the license, provided that these certificates are approved by the centers of the Ministry of Health
