Yemen's Ambassador to London Yassin Said revealed that Hourhis and their allies of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh called the British government for mediating with Saudi Arabia to resolve their differences, while they failed to convince them.
He added that the Iranians pressure the British government to convince them to mediate for the Houthi group with Saudi Arabia to resolve the differennces. He stressed that the major difference is between the Houthis and other components od the Yemeni community.
He stressed that the Yemeni people will not accept any Iranian influence in their country, stressing the need for political solutions for the Yemeni crisis. He added that the Yemeni people will not approve any alternative to the legitimate government.
He added that the Arab Coalition adopts legal position to support the legitimate government saying that the coalition's attacks enjoy legitimacy as they came upon a request from the legitimate government in accordance with the UN rules.
He praised the efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia and other members of the Arab Coalition to support the legitimate government, saying that they performed a major role to support the governmental troops in their fight against the Houthi militias and otherforces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
