The head of the Political Affairs committee in the Algerian Movement of Society for Peace (MSP), Farouk Tayfour, stressed that his movement used democracy in the process of electing candidates eligible to win a seat in the Algerian parliament in the elections that will be held in the beginning of May.
"The leadership of the Movement decided, this time, to organize direct elections through secret ballot, with the aim of democratizing on its internal rules," Tayfour said.
Tayfour stressed, in an exclusive statement to Arabs Today, that the leadership of MSP decided not to interfere in the selection of candidates.
On the other hand, Tayfour responded on the statements of the head of the New Generation Party (NGP), Sufian Jillali, who called for the withdrawal of MSP from the consultation commission and follow-up, due to their desire to return to the arms of the government, that Sufian Jillali statements are worthless, and his request is illogical, because he is not an activist in MSP to call for this, he is a head of a party.
The head of NGP should understand the statements of the head of MSP, Abdul Razak Meqry, who announced that MSP participation in the government will come under certain conditions, including that the coming elections will be fair, Tayfour stated.
He pointed out that each political party will get a majority of votes in parliament will look for applying its program in the government, noting that MSP will not decide on the option of participating in the government or not, until after the upcoming legislation.
