Two policemen were killed and three others injured when an armed group attacked a police station inside Al-Salam IDP camp in Sudan's South Darfur state, Khartoum's Al-Sudani daily reported Tuesday. "The armed group targeted the site of the policemen who protect the citizens inside the camp, killed two policemen and injured three others," Maj. Gen. Ahmed Osman Mohamed Khair, Director of South Darfur Police, was quoted as saying. He added that the armed group fled toward the southern side of the camp, accusing the rebel Sudan Liberation Army (SLA)/Minawi faction of launching the attack. Three major Darfur rebel movements have rejected to negotiate peace with the government including the SLA/Minawi faction, SLA/ Abdul-Wahid Nur faction and the Justice and Equality Movement/ Jibril Ibrahim faction.
