Sudan is coordinating with the Saudi-led coalition to evacuate Sudanese nationals from strife-torn Yemen.
In press statements on Saturday, Secretary General of the Sudanese Expatriates Bureau Haj Magid Siwar said that the number of Sudanese in Yemen stands at 5,000, adding that a preliminary count of those wishing to return showed that around 2,000 wish to go home.
Violence has been spreading across Yemen since last year, when Houthis seized the capital, Sanaa, and removed President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
A Saudi-led coalition has hit Houthis with air strikes over the past week.
