Sudanese Justice Minister Awad Al Hassan inspected Al Goref in Khartoum where violent clashes took place on Friday between residents and police.
In statements, al Hassan called on residents to exercise self-restraint and present their demands to him to consider them with concerned bodies.
He said the prosecution is investigating the deadly clashes which left one person dead and other people injured.
The violence was triggered by a dispute between the residents and the state over the ownership of plots of lands.
