Egypt's Law Enforcement Forces backed by Saeqa elements and civil police units killed 14 terrorists during raids carried out against their hideouts in several villages in Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid in North Sinai.
The troops exchanged fire with the terrorists who have taken shelter inside buildings and nearby farmlands.
The joint troops successfully destroyed five shelters, five hideouts that have been used by the Takfiri elements to make explosive charges. As many as 10 explosive charges were destroyed during the raid.
A four-wheeled vehicle, a motorbike along with premises that were used to hide ammunition were destroyed. Also, military suits and a walkie-talkie and electric circuits were seized.
The joint policy and army forces are continuing their operations to uproot terrorism. Also, a security cordon was imposed in the surroundings of the operation to prevent terrorist elements from fleeing the scene.
