A security source has confirmed the death of a policeman in the terrorist attack that targeted a hotel in Arish earlier Tuesday.
This is the fourth death among policemen in the terror attack.
The death toll of the attack has risen to seven people, including two judges, four policemen and a civilian, while 10 others injured.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Interior Ministry said security forces assigned with securing "Swiss Inn" hotel repelled an attack by a booby-trapped car and shot on the militants who were riding a Hyundai Verna vehicle at a checkpoint set up outside the hotel.
Security bodies have successfully killed the attackers.
Security forces have intensively been deployed in the surroundings of the hotel to arrest any suspects involved in the attack and the scene of the attack was sealed off.
