Head of the Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) Safaa Hegazi offered condolences on Sunday to the families of the victims who were killed in the terrorist attack that took place at El Boutroseya Coptic Orthodox Church this morning and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded.
Also, she declared a three-day mourning on all Egyptian TV channels and Radio stations as of Sunday.
Terrorism will not weaken the Egyptians’ unity, Hegazi said, pointing to the prevailing spirit of love, tolerance and cohesion between Muslims and Christians.
The state-owned TV channels and radio stations spare no effort in supporting the country in its fight against terrorism as they continuously present the Islamic religion’s teachings that denounce violence and extremism, Hegazi asserted.
She called on all various media outlets to urge the Egyptian people to stand by the country in its war against terrorism.
