Luxor Prosecution authorities decided early Friday that four police officers be held into custody for four days pending investigation on charges of torturing to death an Egyptian citizen in Luxor police station.
Following receiving the relevant forensic medicine report on Thursday night, the prosecution also issued an arrest warrant for four other policemen in the same case which involved the death of Talaat Shebeib last week while in police custody.
The report clarified that the victim died due to receiving a hit to the neck and back leading to a break in the backbone and a cut in the spinal cord.
