Egypt is expected to experience a bout of unstable weather with a heat wave hitting the country Wednesday and Thursday followed by a cold spell on Friday and Saturday, the Egyptian meteorological authority (EMA) said in a statement.
The EMA expects highs of up to 31 degrees Celsius in Cairo and the Delta, several degrees above averages for this time of the year.
High temperatures will be accompanied by wind carrying dust that could develop into a sand storm west of the country on Wednesday before making its way to Cairo and the Delta by Thursday.
On Friday and Saturday, temperatures are expected to drop by five to eight degrees Celsius with the possibility of rain nationwide
