Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar said Sunday all legal action would be taken to arrest defendants of the Palestinian Hamas movement and the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood involved in plotting and carrying out the assassination of late top prosecutor Hisham Barakat in June 2015.
The ministry will address the Interpol to issues red notices against the fugitives, the minister told MENA at a press conference to reveal details of the arrest of assassins of Barakat.
Earlier in the day, Egypt's Public Prosecution ordered six defendants of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood to be remanded in custody for 15 days pending investigations over the same charges.
Barakat was martyred on June 29 after he succumbed to injuries he sustained in a car bomb in a blast in Cairo's Heliopolis neighborhood.
