The number of terrorists eliminated by the detachment of the People's National Army near Tin Zaouatine (Tamanrasset, 1970-km south of Algiers) has risen to twelve (12) terrorists, said Monday the Ministry of National Defence in a statement. According to the previous toll made public last Tuesday, 10 terrorists were eliminated in the anti-terrorist operation underway since Monday 5 May 2014. "The bodies of two terrorists, who fled during the clash and died from their injuries, were found Monday following the operation conducted by the detachment of the Army joint forces in the border region of Taoundert (80 Km west of Tin Zaouatine, Tamanrasset)," said the statement. A large quantities of war weapons and ammunition have been recovered during this operation, the statement added.
