Two dangerous terrorists involved in several criminal acts were eliminated Friday afternoon in an ambush set up by a detachment of the People’s National Army (ANP) near Azeffoun (Tizi-Ouzou), said the Algerian National Defence Ministry in a communiqué on Friday.
“As part of fighting terrorism and thanks to the effective use of information, an ANP’s detachment coming under the operational sector of Tizi-Ouzou eliminated, today 25 December 2015 at 3.00 p.m. in an ambush near the sub-prefecture of Azeffoun, two dangerous terrorists activating in terrorist groups since 1994,” said the communiqué.
The terrorists are “Z. Rachid and B. Samir who perpetrated several criminal acts in the region,” said the source.
The operation allowed “recovering two Kalashnikov submachine guns, a pair of binoculars, a quantity of munitions, mobile phones and other objects,” added the source.
