Visiting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Mali Tieman Hubert Coulibaly held talks here on Wednesday with his Algerian counterpart Mourad Medelci, during which they discussed the current situation in Mali, and security and anti-terrorism efforts in the Sahel region. Following his meeting with the Algerian minister, Coulibaly said, in a press statement, that his visit aims at discussing cooperative ties between Mali and Algeria, pending issues concerning peace and security, as well as boosting cooperation in that field. Earlier, Coulibaly met and held political talks separately today with Algerian President Abdulaziz Bouteflika, and Deputy Minister for Maghreb and African Affairs Abdelkader Messahel.
