An Algerian security patrol was attacked by a bomb explosion Friday in Beni Snous town in Tlemcen Province in northwestern Algeria.
According to Algeria Press Service, the attack took place when the bomb shredded into a police armored vehicle. One security officer suffered minor injury in the face.
Security sources said it is a terrorist attack that targeted the patrol before patrolling the area for terrorist groups.
An investigation was opened into the attack while security squads mopped up the area for possible attacks.
Meantime, media reports said that four soldiers were injured in another attack in Djebel El Ouahch, Constantine Province in north-eastern Algeria.
According to the reports, a Daesh affiliate group claimed responsibility for the attack.
