6.0-Magnitude earthquake hits santa cruz

A strong 6.0- magnitude earthquake hit Santa Cruz Islands, which are part of the Temotu region of Solomon Islands, at 2.14pm today. In a statement, the Malaysian Meteorological Department said the quake\'s epicentre was 5,656km southeast of Kunak, Sabah. The earthquake did not pose any tsunami threat to Malaysia, it said.
