High anticipation gripped this hill town in Jammu and Kashmir Sunday, a day before United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson and Congress president Sonia Gandhi lays the foundation stone of a bridge over the river Ravi linking it to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Sonia Monday will kick-off the construction of a 592-metre bridge that will cost Rs1.45 billion (Dh121 million). \"It would be the scripting of a new chapter for our place,\" Chaudhary Lal Singh, MP of Udhampur, said.
