Amman - Kuna

The Kuwaiti stage show \"Alienation Monologue\" has received a long standing ovation from the audience attending the 18th Amman International Theatre Festival, in which participants from other 14 countries are taking part. The audience praised the message, performance, vocal, and lighting effects of the Kuwaiti play, which was also attended by the Kuwaiti Ambassador here Dr. Hamad Al-Duaij and other Kuwaitis in Jordan. Dr. Al-Duaij highlighted the role of Kuwaiti playwrights in delivering their country\'s message in various international and regional forums, which helps to boost the Kuwaiti cultural presence worldwide. He also praised the Kuwaiti leadership\'s support to the Kuwaiti theatrical movement in the country. On his part, director of the play Faisal Al-Ameeri expressed his satisfaction at the positive feedback his show received, saying, \"This experience was like a dream coming true on the Arab level through a message which aims at presenting a theatrical work from heart to heart and human to human.\" The audience\'s positive feedback was proof the play succeeded in delivering its message, said scenarist Faisal Al-Obaid, writer of the show, adding that \"the work is so related to human beings wherever they are through a unified language that represents the message we like to deliver to people\". The play talks of the last moments in the life of a human, during which he tries in vain to live his life again and work things out. It also discusses the concept of death and how humans resent this bitter fact until they reach the real moment. Plays from Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Iraq, Saudi, Palestine, Poland, Italy and Jordan are due to take part.
